Subscribe your loved one to a year of Trails Magazine and they'll get the next four issues delivered to them quarterly, hot off the presses.

Gift subscriptions are effectively digital gift cards that are delivered by email. Your recipient will use it to purchase their subscription on their own. That allows them to set up their now username and login, making it easier for them to update their mailing address or settings later on, or take advantage of subscriber perks. They'll receive directions in an email with their gift subscription.

Who is this purchase for?

A subscription will begin with Issue 16, shipping in November 2026. Interested in starting to read sooner? Tack on any of our available back issues and we'll ship them right away.

Frequently Asked Questions

When will they get their magazine?

We publish Trails every February, May, August, and November. Subscriptions always begin with the issue after when the subscription was placed. Check out the top of this page for the most up-to-date info on which issue they'll receive next (assuming your recipient redeems their gift subscription sets up their account immediately). We ship these out as quick as we can, once we get them from the printer, but it's usually within a few weeks of the release date. If you’re interested in getting them a back issue so them can start reading immediately, check the boxes above to add one to your order.

I'm purchasing a subscription with a gift card. Why is it still asking for my credit card?

Subscriptions are recurring, which means subscribers are automatically charged for another year's subscription when the prior year is up. You're being asked for your credit card so that we have something on file when your subscription renews. If your gift card balance covers the cost of your subscription, nothing will be charged to your credit card until next year and you're always free to cancel your subscription to prevent it from billing your credit card after you subscribe. See details above for how to do that.
